Hi, my name is Ian McQueen and welcome to my website. The purpose of this website is for me to have some type of web space for myself (which is very useful when hosting media) and to publicly connect with my friends on the Internet. Nothing else, no strings attached.
I got saved by Jesus when I was 7 or 8 years old. I have grown up in a Christian home and am very thankful for that. My journey has lead me to two different Vineyard churches: Vineyard Church of Marysville and Vineyard Church of Columbus. VCC is where I am currently attending, and yes, I have been in the Vineyard my whole life. Yup, I do have a touch of the crazies.
I’m a musician and worship leader. I have an older brother, Brett, and he got into playing the guitar. I, being the little brother that I am, wanted to do the same as big brother Brett. So I magically got the interest to start playing the guitar. My fingers were too small (I was 8 or 9) so my Dad suggested I begin to play the ukulele, which is basically a miniature version of a guitar that has 4 strings instead of 6 and has a lot less frets than a guitar. About a year later, I began to pick up the guitar. My first song learned on the guitar was Country Roads, Take Me Home.
I began to help out with children’s worship at the Vineyard Church of Marysville and boy was that fun! The kids are so full of energy and always have a smile on their face. I did that for about 4 years and eventually started started helping out with main services (fill-in drummer) and youth group.
Yes, I play drums too. Started taking lessons in ‘05.
My journey then lead me to Vineyard Church of Columbus and I have seen God’s blessing in everything that has happened. Right now, I currently play for The Net (and sometimes The Rock) youth groups. If there’s middle school or high school kids around, I’m probably somehow connected in a way, hehe.
And that’s my story in a very shallow nutshell.
